Astin-Polk International Standards Medal

The Astin-Polk International Standards Medal honors distinguished service in promoting trade and understanding among nations through personal participation in the advancement, development, or administration of international standardization, measurements, or certification.

The selection of a recipient for this medal will be primarily based on that individual’s leadership accomplishments and contributions to the international standards community.

Note: Only one Astin-Polk International Standards Medal may be awarded per year.  If, in the judgment of the Awards Committee, no candidates meet the eligibility requirements, an award may not be given.  The Awards Committee reserves the right to present a nominee with an award other than the one for which they were nominated.
