Howard Coonley Medal

The Howard Coonley Medal honors an executive who has rendered great service to the national economy through voluntary standardization and who has given outstanding support to standardization as a management tool.

The selection of a recipient for this medal will be primarily based on that individual’s service to the national economy through their work with, and support of, voluntary standards.

Note: Only one Howard Coonley Medal may be awarded per year.  If, in the judgment of the Awards Committee, no candidates meet the eligibility requirements, an award may not be given.  The Awards Committee reserves the right to present a nominee with an award other than the one for which they were nominated.
