Critical Minerals Standards Webinars

Critical minerals are essential to a wide range of technologies that underpin modern economies, from renewable energy systems and advanced manufacturing to defense applications and digital infrastructure. As demand for these materials grows, international standards play a vital role in promoting transparency, traceability, sustainability, and security across global supply chains.

These free two 4-hour standards webinars will explore standardization activities related to the full lifecycle of critical minerals, including upstream, midstream, and downstream. Attendees will hear briefings from various standards and codes developers, highlighting their current activities and providing opportunities for dialogue with participants. Presentations will include:

  1. Activity information: Scope, impact, sectors, standards user, conformity assessment considerations, adoption
  2. Who is involved: Stakeholder types who are contributing to content development
  3. What’s Next: Topics expected to be addressed in the next year/next iterations, trends being monitored
  4. Process: Brief remarks about how standard(s) are developed within their organization
  5. Participation: How attendees can get involved, how to join, or provide feedback
  6. Other: Additional relevant information specific to their activity and CM’s at large.

Standardization activities include pre-standardization research, standards development work, and conformity assessment activities.
