DISCUSSION-BASED WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Join stakeholders from across the critical minerals value chain to discuss standards and conformity assessment needs, identify key gaps and challenges, and help inform future coordination and strategy development. Your participation in this discussion-based workshop will enable interactive discussions spanning upstream, midstream, and downstream priorities. Your perspective will help shape a post-event report of recommendations about:
- Standards and conformity assessment needs across the critical minerals value chain
- Pre-standardization research and measurement science priorities
- Safety, performance, testing, certification, and verification considerations
- Traceability, transparency, and trusted supply chain information
- International standards development coordination opportunities
- Regulatory and policy considerations affecting standardization
This workshop is part of a broader ANSI standards coordination program initiative, the Critical Minerals Standards Coordination (CMSC), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, to drive coordination across the U.S. and within the international standards ecosystem and create a vital U.S. Standards Strategy for Critical Minerals. ANSI does not write standards, therefore this is not a standards writing initiative. We provide a neutral forum for stakeholders to discuss and inform effective standards development and implementation carried out by stakeholders.
Participation in this workshop is limited to U.S. citizens or employees
of organizations with U.S.-based operations.
